Travel Counsellors has unveiled a new initiative which will focus on providing home based agents with training and support on their doorstep.
The scheme, which was announced by Australian Business Development Manager Tracy Parkinson recently on TCTV (Travel Counsellors internal live web broadcast), will take agent training on a whistle-stop tour of Australia and allow agents to ‘pick and mix’ the training sessions they feel will be most beneficial to them.
“We’re going local,” commented Tracy, “We have listened to the feedback you have given us about the main areas you feel you need further support whilst focusing on the key elements that are impacting the industry at present, and we will be on the road to bring new training and support at a workshop near you. We have all the tools and skills you need to focus on your customers and be successful.”
Starting in Sydney, Travel Counsellors on Tour will visit various cities throughout the country and incorporate many key elements to help grow agents’ businesses, including “Selling Service Fee’s Confidently” training module, which will look at how agents can show their professionalism and set their service fees with confidence. There will also be IT support sessions, Galileo and Air Product Training, with special presentations from local airline representatives, and much more planned for the year.
Members from various departments within Travel Counsellors head office will be “on the road” to personally deliver relevant training with the TC’s across the country, reinforcing the strong relationships they have with the individual TC’s. Personal development appointments will also be available offering a bespoke assessment tailored to each individual’s business requirements.
“It’s not all doom and gloom,” commented Tracy, “The last thing anyone wants to give up is a holiday and all your hard work and determination, together with our tried and tested ‘system of success’ has enabled you to focus on your customers, and thrive in an ever-changing marketplace. We understand that is can often be difficult to take time out when you run your own businesses and we are delighted to make this level of training more accessible to you than ever before.”
Travel Counsellors’ ‘system of success’ was introduced in 2009 to provide a structured programme and success formula for the company’s agents to follow when running their businesses from home. The key elements of the system are being pro-active, producing sales, building customer relationships, keeping in contact with these customers and staying involved with company activity. The programme has been delivered via online tutorials and webcasts, and through head office training, personal appointments and conferences.Travel Counsellors have further announcements to follow soon, as 2012 shapes up to be another record year for the company.
