Hailed as the ‘Oscars’ of the Travel Industry, World Travel Awards (WTA) has revealed the regional nominees for its 2012 programme.
Asian and Australasian organisations in contention include Tourism Australia, Air New Zealand, Hainan Airlines, Pangu 7 Star Hotel Beijing and Anantara Hotels & Resorts.
All companies will go head to head at WTA’s Asia & Australasia Ceremony to be held in Singapore on 16 October 2012.
Online voting is now opened and WTA Founder and President Graham E. Cooke is encouraging both the travel trade and the public to vote for their favourite travel brand.
“As the tension surrounding the regional ceremonies builds, we are looking forward to revealing the leading players and tracking their progress as they head to our Grand Final 2012 in December,” Mr Cooke said.
“In these times of global economic austerity, the ability to pinpoint quality travel products remains paramount to both business and consumer travellers.”
Over 5,000 organisations from 162 countries will compete, plus more than 900 categories including all facets of the industry.
