With one week to go before Travelscene Corporate kicks off its annual Corporate Symposium – the travel Network is already celebrating ‘Beyond Success’, recording the highest number of delegates and key suppliers attending in the history of the event.
Travelscene Corporate members and business partners will travel to Bangkok, Thailand next week for the two-day conference on 4 – 5 May 2012. The event is jam-packed with an incredible line up of seminars, workshops, the annual Innovators Award and key speakers including Senior Qantas Pilot Captain Richard de Crespigny who, in his first official engagement after ferrying the A380 ‘Nancy Bird Walton’ back into service in Australia, will recount his experience of the incident that rocked the airline industry.
“The record number of registrants is a fantastic result to launch the countdown to our annual Corporate Symposium. The turnout reflects the passion, dedication and loyalty our network of travel specialists have for their work, and this is one of the most important ingredients in moving ‘beyond success’ – the timely theme of this year’s symposium,” David Padman, Travelscene Corporate General Manager said.
“The key elements that comprise business success will be examined in-depth this year, and I am particularly excited about presenting our Innovators Award on the final night in Bangkok. Recognising long-serving Members that strive to find new, innovative ways to grow their client base, excel in customer service and drive business further, is an inspiration to all of our members and further builds on the success of the Travelscene Corporate Network.”
Keynote speaker, Richard de Crespigny, will be joined by other high-profile speakers including Master of Ceremonies Dan Gregory, an expert in marketing and advertising and a regular guest on ABC’s The Gruen Transfer, and futurist Tim Longhurst, who will share insights into preparing for and adapting to a changing world, and harnessing possibilities for the future.
Also speaking at Travelscene Corporate’s Corporate Symposium 2012 will be leading economist Phil Ruthven, on of Australia’s most well respected strategists on economic, social and business matters, as well as Peter Baines, a leadership expert and business consultant with 22 years’ experience in the police force tackling responses to terrorism, natural and man-made disasters – and who has lived to teach the tales.
“The line-up this year is incredible, and with Bangkok as our beautiful and fitting destination – a city that continues to rise above challenges and maintain its place as a leading global travel destination – we are set for a successful event in every way.”
Workshops covering significant corporate issues, panel discussions, as well as Member roundtables and a networking lounge will provide opportunities for communicating and sharing with fellow Corporate Members, Business Partners and senior industry figures.
