Club Sandwich |
Scouting out the best club sandwich could also come at a cost, according to a new survey that found Paris is the city where you’ll pay top dollar for a club sandwich.
A Club Sandwich Index (CSI) composed by Hotels.com found the average cost of a club sandwich in Paris, France at almost AU$34, with Geneva, Switzerland registering a close second at approximately AU$32.
The CSI found that with most travellers leaving out the cost of food and drink during decision making, the index could help providing travellers with a measure of affordability by generating the average cost of one of the most common and popular hotel menu items worldwide.
“By providing an estimate of daily food and drink expenses, the Club Sandwich Index helps travellers assess a destination’s real cost and thus plan their travel budget accordingly,” Hotels.com Asia Pacific spokesperson said.
Canberra, Australia ranked eighth overall, with an average cost of AU$19.50, while New Delhi, India was earmarked as the cheapest destination to satisfy hunger cravings, coming in at a reasonable AU$9.50 per sandwich. |
