A new range of activities for teenagers has been launched at Outrigger on the Lagoon Fiji to fill in the gap between kids clubs and adult activities.

Traditionally offering activity programs aimed at younger children, the resort’s new Teenager Activity Program ensures teens have an unforgettable holiday and don’t get lost in an age gap as they mature from childhood to adulthood. 

The popular activities include spear making lessons, a Sigatoka Sand Dunes tour, horse riding, Tavuni Hill Fort tour, a Bebe Hill hike and an Enchanted Pool hike.

A trip to a local high school is the most popular programme and gives teenagers an opportunity to learn how local kids are educated and provide them with an insight into the daily Fijian way of life. In return, local high school kids have the opportunity to meet similar aged students from foreign countries and learn more about the world.

All activities are supervised by the resort’s experienced Activities Crew and are designed to be both culturally educational and fun, often including local attractions which aren’t on the mainstream tourist circuit but are rich in local history and culture.

A small fee is charged to cover expenses and admission fees where applicable and profits raised from the high school visits are donated back to the school to assist with educational resources.

The Teenage Activity Program is supported by the Outrigger kids clubs, Little Riggers for 3-7 year olds and Beach Riggers for 8-12 year olds, which provide a range of fun and age appropriate activities and cultural experiences.

The Meimei nanny service provides one-on-one care for children aged six months to two years and two children per nanny for children aged three and over.
