Accor’s Art Lovers Package Celebrates the Evolution of Spain

Art lovers will be flocking to Brisbane this winter when ‘Portrait of Spain: Masterpieces from the Prado’ comes exclusively to the Queensland Art Gallery from July 21, 2012.

Following exhibitions in Japan, China and Russia, ‘Portrait of Spain: Masterpieces from the Prado’ will be the first ever collection of work from Madrid’s admired ‘The Museo Nacional del Prado’ to visit Australia. 

To celebrate this prestigious event Accor is offering an exclusive ‘Art Lovers’ package at its Brisbane Novotel, Mercure and Ibis hotels for the duration of the exhibition which will feature masterpieces by renowned painters who worked in the Spanish royal court including El Greco, Velázquez, Ribera, Goya and Rubens.

The package for two includes overnight accommodation, full buffet breakfast, tickets to the exhibition, two glasses of sangria and a late 1pm checkout. 

Package prices per room, per night start from $199 at Ibis, from $219 at Mercure and $239 at Novotel Brisbane.

Presented in chronological order, the exhibition is a survey of the history of Spain and Spanish art from the 16th century to early 20th century through 80 paintings and around 20 works on paper.
