After its biggest and most successful summer season since its debut in Australia in 2004, Classic International Cruises held a special 2012 / 2013 brochure launch and awards ceremony for travel agents recently in Perth – the home port ever summer for the traditional liner, Athena.
Attended by more than 60 agents from WA, wholesalers, key industry figures and hosted by Classic International Cruises Managing Director Grant Hunter and the WA Sales manager, Vilma Rovedatti, the event at the Fremantle Cruise Passenger Terminal was designed as a thank-you for the many travel agents who had helped make the 2011/12 season for Athena the best ever for the cruise line.
Classic International Cruises presented awards to its top five agents, all in Western Australia – Bicton Travel /Cruisefinder, Best Cruises, Cathie Rice Travel, RAC West Perth and Champagne Travel Mandurah.
CIC’s ‘Consultant of the Year’ for best overall travel consultant was selected by the CIC reservations team. This was won by Misha Howlett from Cathie Rice Travel and the runner-up Consultant of the Year was Clynton Chatfield from RAC West Perth.
Joanne Allen from RAC was the lucky agent who attended the function who won a lucky draw prize of an 11-night return cruise for two aboard Athena from Perth to Bali on January 2, 2013.
