Travellers leaving Melbourne Airport this morning may have experienced slight delays after a power outage kept the Airport in the dark for up to an hour. An airport source told media, a “major power outage” occurred at 9.20am, causing a backlog of passengers checking-in until 10.40am when power returned, The Age reported. An airport spokesperson said the outage was not dangerous and the cause was yet to be determined. Despite the official confirming that flights were not departing during the outage, airline operating out of the gateway declined any impact to their services. |
