Emirates has appointed Timothy Shepherd as its new Regional Manager for Queensland, bringing over 20 years of experience in the travel industry to the role.
Mr Shepherd has held a number of senior sales positions, including Head of Sales for NRMA Tourism & Leisure, and National Sales Manager positions at both Scenic Tours and Harvey's Choice Holidays. Earlier in his career, Mr Shepherd worked for Ansett Australia and Qantas Holidays, based in the United Kingdom.
In his new role, Mr Shepherd will be responsible for the management of the Emirates Queensland sales and service office, and will commence work with Emirates from 7th August 2012.
“At this busy time with Emirates announcing an increase to 84 weekly flights from Australia by 1st March 2013, I am pleased to welcome Tim to our senior management team,” said Barry Brown, Emirates’ Vice President Australasia.
“Tim will oversee Emirates’ thrice daily flights from Brisbane, one service to Auckland and two services to our conveniently located Dubai hub, offering connections to over 80 African, Middle Eastern and European cities,” he added.
Emirates operates Boeing 777 aircraft from Brisbane, offering eight First Class Suites, 42 Business Class seats and 310 Economy Class seats, while featuring world-class cuisine and the award-winning ice in-flight entertainment system.
