Big4 Holiday Parks adds new park in NSW holiday haven

Friday, 3 August 2012

Australia’s favourite holiday park provider, BIG4 Holiday Parks, has welcomed a new addition to its 180-strong network of parks. Located on the picturesque Sapphire Coast of NSW, BIG4 Eden Gateway Holiday Park is the latest park to join the BIG4 family, offering travellers even more choice when exploring Australia.

BIG4 Eden Gateway Holiday Park is nestled near the rugged beauty of Twofold Bay’s golden sandy beaches and just a mere one kilometre from the town centre, where fine dining and Eden’s historic attractions await curious travellers. Inside the park, accommodation facilities range from stylish cabins and luxury spa villas to grassy powered sites.

Park owners Steve and Beverley Watson, who also own BIG4 Nambucca Heads Holiday Park, took over BIG4 Eden Gateway at the beginning of 2012. The couple said they have been busy using the past six months to add new park facilities in order to provide guests with a complete holiday experience, not just accommodation.

“The park is a holiday playground for kids and adults alike. We’re working to create precincts within the park that cater specifically to families, couples, campers and caravanners – a whole range of guests. We’re a dog friendly park too, so even four legged friends are welcome to join the family on holiday,” Steve said.

In addition to existing park activities including pedal karts and a jumping pillow, Steve and Beverley are adding a mini golf course and a bike track in the coming months. Looking further into the future, there are plans to add an indoor play centre and onsite cafe from next year.

BIG4 Holiday Parks General Manager – Marketing, Kari Hunter says she is pleased to welcome BIG4 Eden Gateway Holiday Park to the BIG4 family and is excited to be able to offer another fantastic holiday option to BIG4 guests.

“We’re thrilled to announce the addition of another park in one of Australia’s most beautiful holiday hotspots. BIG4 is always looking to provide guests new and unique holiday experiences and BIG4 Eden Gateway offers this with its excellent range of facilities and accommodation, as well as its plan to build precincts to cater to different types of guests. We look forward to working with Steve and Beverley to further build on the success of their park as the industry continues to grow,” said Kari.

Renowned as a whale watching haven, Eden is home to a variety of marine tours, fishing charters and whale spotting cruises. The park is perfectly located as a base for exploring all that the region has to offer from the historic marine museums to Ben Boyd National Park where you can pack a picnic and set off for a walk along part of the rugged and beautiful coastline on the Pinnacles track. In honour of the region’s whale heritage, each November  Eden celebrates the southern migration of humpback whales on the far south coast of New South Wales with an annual Whale Festival, just one of the great events guests can experience when staying with the park.
