Virgin Australia’s additional A330 services between Perth and Melbourne commencing 21 September has been welcomed by Melbourne Airport.

Melbourne Airport CEO Chris Woodruff said he was delighted with the expanded services to one of the airlines busiest domestic airports.

The additional services will increase capacity on the Perth – Melbourne route by 30 percent.

“It’s a great vote of confidence for the Melbourne market, strengthening its status as a premier Australian destination,” Mr Woodruff said.

The additional services will increase Virgin Australia’s A330 flights to five daily.

Continuing work on the refurbishment of Melbourne Terminal 3 is expected to be completed by the end of the year, unveiling a more contemporary and modern space for travellers.
