Webjet has appointed Roger Sharp as the company’s new non executive director, as part of an ongoing revamp of the business’ Board of Directors.

Mr Sharp currently serves as the chairman of several companies and has more than 25 years of experience in financing, investing and advising in global markets.

“We are delighted to have secured Roger’s appointment which under the constitution is being made under board authority to fill a board vacancy,” Webjet chairman David Clarke said.

“His appointment is part of a longer term board refreshment in line with the increasing scope and complexity of our global operations.”

Mr Sharp has held a series of regional and global positions in the finance sector.

“As such he brings an exceptional level of experience and global strategic knowledge,” Mr Clarke said.
