Spring Racing Carnival At Crown

Monday, 24 September 2012

Crown Melbourne, is arguably the epicentre of sporting entertainment in Melbourne and now that the Spring Racing Carnival is underway, Crown is showcasing a host of Spring Racing offers throughout the property’s premium restaurants, three luxurious hotels, two day spas and The West End.

Located only 30 minutes from the iconic Flemington Racecourse, Crown’s three hotels – Crown Towers, Crown Metropol and Crown Promenade are tipped to be the best choice for those who want the excitement of races to extend beyond the track.  Packages start from $395.00 including overnight accommodation and breakfast for two.

For ladies, no race-day outfit is complete without hair, make-up and long, thick lashes. ISIKA day spa, located in the art-filled surrounds of Crown Metropol, has organised Spring Racing Carnival packages to get racegoers trackside ready, complete with a glass of Australian sparkling wine served on arrival. Make up application prices start from $80.00.

Across the complex, at the newly-renovated luxurious Crown Spa on level three of Crown Towers, guests can be amongst the first to experience any of the spa’s 17 opulent treatment rooms, luxury La Prairie products and treatments and stunning new hair, nail and make up salon at Crown Spa.

But what can guests do if they can’t get to the track?
Throughout the Spring Racing Carnival, Nobu will be serving Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame by the flute and their signature cocktails. Reservations for dinner are recommended as Nobu is the preferred post-race meeting place for racegoers, trainers, owners and jockeys alike.

One floor above Nobu is the recently renovated Conservatory restaurant with gorgeous views of the city skyline and the Yarra River. The Conservatory’s open space will be filled with screens broadcasting from the racetrack on Emirates Melbourne Cup Day and Crown Oak Day, as well as offering their famous buffet. What could be better than an unlimited buffet, expansive views and watching the races with friends?

Adjacent to the Conservatory and spilling into the common area between the two restaurants, JJ’s Bar & Grill will be transformed into a gold, black and white Moët & Chandon Glamour Bar during the week-long celebrations at Flemington. JJ’s Bar & Grill will feature gold Moët & Chandon Imperial magnums and black Moët & Chandon 2003 Vintage Champagne as well as being one of the few exclusive venues at Crown to serve the spring/summer drink of choice, Moët & Chandon Imperial Ice.

The West End at Crown
Throughout the Spring Racing Carnival, Crown’s glittering new West End precinct will be transformed into a vibrant spring garden for pre and post race-day parties. Roving performers and live entertainment will captivate guests as they enjoy spring cocktails from Lumia complemented by classic chicken sandwiches from Cotta.

The West End’s 4 venues – The Merrywell, Cotta, Lumia and The Common Room – will be open on all major race days.
