Having a ball for charity

Friday, 28 September 2012

Hawaiian Airlines will be flying from Queensland from 28 November, but the Hawaiian team paid an early visit to the Sunshine State for the Ray White Surfers Paradise Muscular Dystrophy Ball.

Hawaiian joined forces with Sheraton Waikiki Resort to donate a holiday package including four return flights from Brisbane to Honolulu flying Hawaiian Airlines and seven nights’ accommodation.  The package was auctioned off for an impressive $10,000.

The ball has been held annually for the past 19 years, raising nearly $3 million for the muscular dystrophy cause.

Hawaiian Airlines flies daily from Sydney to Honolulu and from 28 November will operate three weekly flights from Brisbane, with onward connections to the neighbour islands of Maui, Kauai and Hawaii Island, plus 11 US mainland destinations.
