DMS Destination Marketing Services recently escorted five Australian conference and incentive planners to discover magical Malaysia, kindly sponsored by Pacific World Asia, Malaysia Airlines, and Tourism Malaysia.
Malaysia, a truly multicultural destination, exposes its visitors to a pluralist culture based on a vibrant and interesting fusion of Malay, Indian, Chinese and indigenous cultures and customs.
From the warm and friendly people, gastronomic experiences, excellent five star facilities and hotels, to its rich biodiversity, it’s no wonder Malaysia is one of the most popular short haul incentive destinations for Australian incentive groups.
Pacific World, Asia’s leading destination management company, developed a program that perfectly showcased the essence of Malaysia and what it can offer for conference and incentive groups. From the traditional welcomes, to the captivating and unique experiences, Pacific World demonstrated their strength in logistics, professionalism and their obvious passion for the destination. The action packed program showcased their creativity along with WOW experiences, while keeping their high level of service and attention to detail throughout.
The participants were exposed to The Garden City of Lights, Kuala Lumpur (KL by locals), where modern sophistication meets colourful tradition. They ventured into the heart of Kuala Lumpur to discover the vibrant architecture and historical background, and then were introduced to Hindu culture at the sacred site of the Batu Caves before being taken on an educational tour through the Royal Selangor Factory where they met with the granddaughter of the Factory’s founder and had a hands-on experience making their own pewter pendants.
Arriving in Langkawi, the group was greeted with a traditional Malaysian welcome, where they were made to feel like royalty. They were then immersed in the calming ambience of a tropical hideaway in the Four Seasons Resort pavilions and then ventured out into the century old mangroves. A true taste of this paradise was experienced when the group spent the morning sailing on a yacht charter around the Andaman Sea, with crystal clear waters and pure white sandy beaches.
An evening Nature Trail at Datai Bay rainforest with Irshad (famous Naturalist Guide) ending at the award-winning Gulai House for Malaysian / Indian family style dinner rounded out the group’s experience of Malaysia’s best known holiday destination.
Malaysia is the ideal choice for companies planning on rewarding their employees or clients, as it offers countless activities for groups and plenty of variety when it comes to hotels and venues, whether you’re after a local experience or five star luxuries. Malaysia’s proximity to Australia, easy airline access and value-for-money status also makes it an easy choice.
