Toll dnata, a joint venture between  dnata—one of the world’s largest combined air services providers—and Australia’s Toll Group—the Asia Pacific region’s leading provider of transport and logistics— announced today the unveiling of a new, vibrant uniform which can now be seen on 1,200 staff Australia-wide.

Almost 21,700 individual garments with the eye-catching new look will be launched in Australia for Toll dnata’s customer-facing staff. Toll dnata team members in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Cairns will be sporting the new uniforms as of today. Customers will see the new uniforms at check-in, on gate staff, operation staff, supervisors and administration staff.

The design, development and roll-out phase included input from members of six of dnata’s international businesses, with a team member from Toll dnata travelling to Dubai for the launch of the uniforms.

“Prior to unveiling these new uniforms dnata conducted considerable consultation to get feedback from the people who would be wearing the pieces—team members," said Andrew Pawley, General Manager, Toll dnata Airport Services. “Our goal was to provide our team with uniforms they could be both proud of and comfortable in; thus far the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.”

At the start of the journey to find a fabulous new uniform, an initial tender went out to ten companies from five countries, from which four were shortlisted.  After presenting a range of impressive, innovative concepts, David Sprakes, Dubai-based design manager from uniform manufacturers A. Ronai LLC was selected. The company then worked further on the initial designs. These ideas went through almost a dozen different drafts over the next few months before the style and fabrics revealed today were eventually arrived at, ensuring the eventual design works well with all skin tones and body shapes.

“To the staff, the new uniforms highlight Toll dnata’s growth in Australia and the company’s plans for the future,” said Donelle Height, Uniform Ambassador, Toll dnata Airport Services. “The new uniforms are more modern than the previous version, with brighter colours and more styling options.”

The final result is a testament to the collaborative effort between dnata employees, management and the design team.
