Rob Jager has been appointed as a non-executive director of Air New Zealand, with effect from 1 April 2013.
Originally from an engineering background, Mr Jager’s portfolio includes a general manager station of Shell Todd Oil Services Limited, chairman of Shell Country and chair of the Independent Government Task Force on Health & Safety.
Air New Zealand chairman John Palmer said Mr Jager’s background and record is likely to “add significantly” to the airline’s board.
“In a complex operational business such as Air New Zealand we continue to need directors who can provide wide experience and perspective on key areas like safety,” Mr Palmer explained.
