The $700 million Hilton Surfers Paradise complex on Queensland's Gold Coast has officially opened today making it the first Hilton property to offer guest rooms and holiday residence. The new hotel offers a range of accommodation options with 169 guest rooms and 250 modern one, two and three bedroom residences. The hotel rooms are designed to suit overnight business visitors and leisure guests wanting to stay longer. Hilton president Asia Pacific Martin Rinck said the Hilton Surfers Paradise is the eighth Hilton branded property in Australia and is a significant landmark for the Gold Coast tourism industry as it is the first new upscale global hotel to be built in the last decade. We are delighted to continue to grow the footprint of Hilton Worldwide in this important market, Mr Rinck said. A unique quality to the hotel is Beach Valet were guests are able to book their own Hilton beach Valet to transport their beach gear to and from the hotel to the beach. The hotel has set up a Hilton branded private area on the beach including beach umbrellas, chairs and can also provide guests with an esky filled with drinks and snacks. Some other highlights include, the Best Kept Secrets iPad App, personalised greeting on arrival and escort to the front desk, 24-hour access to the Magic button which allows you to contact guest services at any time and receive assistance within 15 minutes and a boutique delicatessen. Hilton Hotels & Resorts global head David Horton said the hotel offers a range of unique accommodation, dinning and meeting options. Apart from appealing to the leisure market we believe that the hotel will also contribute to the growth of the meeting, incentives, conference and exhibitions (MICE) industry in the area, Mr Horton said. |
