Are you more a megaliner fan or a river cruising fan? If you’re the latter, then the news that Egypt will be re-opening the lower Nile to vessels early next year may get you excited!

The longer voyage from Cairo to Aswan will allow more relaxation time in what can be a very hectic itinerary filled with amazing tombs and unforgettable temples, but little chance to lie on deck and watch the papyrus pass by…

What do you think about Egypt’s decision to re-open the lower Nile? Do you think that it will assist in boosting the number of tourists to the country or do you think that the lack of ‘places to see’ from Cairo to Luxor will deter people from selecting the longer cruise option?

Yours in cruising,
Natalie
