Inaugural Jahan Sailing a Success

Monday, 14 November 2011

The Mekong’s latest and most luxurious river cruiser, The Jahan, has just completed its maiden voyage, which was exclusively chartered by Asia Specialist Travel Indochina.

Accompanying the sold out maiden voyage as host was Travel Indochina’s Managing Director and Co-founder Paul Hole.

“After many months marketing this great new vessel, it was really exciting to finally get on board,” said Paul.

“The experience of small boat river cruising has certainly won me and the 48 other passengers on board over. It makes for a much more intimate experience than I would imagine would ever be possible on larger boats with double the amount of passengers.

“Importantly, it also allows the Jahan to visit some places on the Mekong that are simply not practical for the larger groups”, he said.

The Jahan boasts the largest cabin size on the Mekong with twin inside outside balconies.

“Many of the clients said it was much more like staying in a luxury hotel suite than what they had experienced previously on river cruisers in other parts of the world. There was extremely high praise for the attentive service and fantastic food.

“The response of the passengers was extremely gratifying, to see how much the clients appreciated how the vision for Mekong cruising should be. The clients loved the themes and romantic feel of the boat, and the on board pool was particularly popular with the Australian travellers.”

Travel Indochina has exclusive inventory on sailings through to 2013, including an exclusive New Year’s Eve Charter, where there are only 4 of the 26 cabins left.
