Tuesday, 10 January 2012

Indonesia’s national airline, Garuda Indonesia, has appointed TransViet Promotion as its local representative to manage its sales, marketing and reservation activities in Vietnam, reinforcing the airline’s commitment and growing confidence in the market.

Through this partnership, passengers travelling to Indonesia can benefit from the code-share flights offered by TransViet Promotion to Garuda’s domestic hubs in Jakarta, Denpasar and Makassar for efficient connections to other destinations within the country and beyond. Garuda Indonesia offers a strong domestic route network of over 30 Indonesian cities and also serves nearly 20 destinations throughout Asia and Europe including Shanghai, Tokyo and Amsterdam.

“Vietnam is one of the world's fastest growing travel destinations and is becoming an increasingly important market for us. TransViet Promotion is a leading airline representative with over 15 years of experience and we believe that this partnership will further improve the quality of our services to better serve the Vietnam market,” said Risnandi, Senior General Manager, Area Asia, Garuda Indonesia.

“We look forward to working with Garuda to promote their destinations to travellers from Vietnam. By combining our local knowledge and experience with the capabilities and extensive network that Garuda provides, we are confident that we can maximize the market potential,” said Le Viet Cuong, Director of Business Development, TransViet Promotion.

Garuda Indonesia was upgraded to a four-star rating by Skytrax in 2009, the global benchmark for airline service standards, confirming the improvement in its front-line product and service quality. It was also named the ‘World’s Most Improved Airline’ at the Skytrax 2010 World Airline Awards in Hamburg, Germany.
