Recent events once again show that all airlines should provide free comprehensive insurance coverage against the consequences of their possible insolvency.

If a travel agent goes bankrupt IATA may use the agent’s guarantee to pay the airlines.

But airlines don’t put any guarantee in place with IATA to secure possible refunds by agents in case of their bankruptcy.
