Virgin Australia rescues Air Australia's stranded passengers

Virgin Australia has announced plans to assist stranded Air Australia passengers stuck in Denpasar after administrators were appointed last week.

Virgin Australia Group Executive of Corporate Communications Danielle Keighery advised the carrier would help stranded Air Australia passengers by providing special fares to get them back home.

The Special fares are from Denpasar to Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane for USD199.00 excluding baggage one way for sale until midnight Monday, 20 February for departures until 02 March 2012.

“We encourage disrupted Guests to book via the website www.virginaustralia.com to take
advantage of special fares,” Ms Keighery said

“Guests will need to provide details of their existing Air Australia ticket (including reservation number, travel date and flight number) and will then be able to purchase our discounted fares,”
