In the travel industry for over ten years, DriveAway Holiday’s Jason Dyktynski loves the rewarding nature of his job. Read on to find out his top travel tips.

What made you start working in the industry?
My older brothers all travelled extensively when I was little and I always, always wanted to do whatever they were doing…only now I get a better discount!

What do you like most about your job?
The people!  From helping people just getting started in the industry right through to assisting owners of travel agencies… It’s very rewarding.

What are three things you must always travel with?
An open mind, a sense of humour, and some money comes in handy too…

If you were on a cancelled flight and the only option to get from A to B was by land, what mode of transport would you use and name three famous people you’d take with you? 
A hire car, motorhome, or Peugeot lease from Driveaway Holidays of course!  I’d take my three besties…they think they’re famous anyway…you know who you are…lol…

If money was no object and you could do whatever you wanted to do, what would that be? 
To live in Europe for six months of the year!

What the best book you’ve ever read? 
Paullina Simons’ Russia Trilogy, possibly because of my own families history during WW2, and I loved Anh Doh’s The Happiest Refugee, a very inspirational read!

Of the seven continents how many have you been to and which country was your favourite?
Asia, Europe and North America, still too many places to see to pick a favourite – yet!
