Coral Coast Goes Live With New Website

Monday, 20 August 2012

The Coral Coast Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association, part of the Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association, has launched a new website http://coralcoastfiji.org/ to promote the three key elements of which the Coral Coast has in endless supply - tradition, culture and nature.

With tabs listing things to do, where to eat, shopping, sports and events, tradition and culture and community, the website is designed to promote and establish the Coral Coast as a compelling destination by creating a new brand, tag line and sense of unity for the region.

The Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association which first started in 1965 accounts for more than 80 per cent of total room inventory in Fiji.

In 2009 operators along the Coral Coast banded together to promote and establish the Coral Coast and develop it as the premier holiday destination in Fiij.

Located on the south-west of Fiji’s mainland, Viti Levu, the Coral Coast is famed for its 70 kilometres of coastline and coral reefs, which stretch from Waidroka Bay in the East to Natadola Beach in the West.

The Coral Coast has always been known for its well-appointed accommodation and magnificent natural beauty and was one of the first areas to be developed for tourism in Fiji.

The largest city in the region is Sigatoka, on the edge of the Sigatoka River, which is central to many unique Fijian attractions; the ruins of an old fort at Tavunui Hill, the rock formations of Naihehe Caves, rainforest treks, river trips, and one of Fiji’s oldest pre-historic sites – the Sigatoka Sand Dunes.
