New partnership brings first B2B solution that will deliver diversified car transfer content to enhance travel agent offering

Amadeus, a leading travel technology partner and transaction processor for the global travel and tourism industry, and Car Pilots, Australia’s first and most comprehensive online private driver and taxi content aggregator, today announces a partnership to distribute the complete range of Car Pilots’ content via the Amadeus Selling Platform, the world’s most widely-used travel agent point-of-sale tool.

For the first time, Amadeus users in Australia will be able to search and book commissionable Car Pilots’ content through a dedicated Amadeus Smart Tab.  The easy-to-use smart tab will enable the integration of Car Pilots’ car transfer content into the Amadeus Passenger Name Record (PNR), streamlining processes, reducing errors and improving consultant productivity.  Data can be easily transmitted to mid and back office applications, removing the need to move between various screens or re-type data into third party applications.

The Car Pilots solution is an Australian industry first, offering private car transfer content in a B2B booking environment.

The new solution will enable pre-payment of independent private car services as well as taxis and use geo-mapping technology to determine the best route between pick-up and drop-off locations and calculate the fare, inclusive of tolls and any additional services.  Amadeus users can select from a range of vehicles before confirming, paying for the booking with a credit card and issuing a voucher all on the single PNR with traveller the relevant hotel and air bookings.
