The Edgewater Resort & Spa was host to a large number of delegates for the 43rd Pacific Islands Forum, which was held in Rarotonga from 28th to 30th August 2012, and was attended by Heads of State and Governments of the Pacific Region. Some of the dignatories staying at the Resort included New Zealand’s Prime Minister, John Key and Australia’s Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, along with other leaders & delegates from 20 other countries. The staff and management were excited to host this large number of VIP’s and their delegates, and were proud to showcase their world-reknowned hospitality with excellent service and friendly smiles. Several rooms were transformed into efficient meeting and conference rooms and the Resort was abuzz with suited bodyguards and motorcades moving through the Resort grounds at certain times. A sight many staff had not had the opportunity to witness before. All in all, it was an extremely successful Forum with fantastic feedback from the Forum delegates, along with proud smiles from Management and Staff. |
