For the month of October, the Hard Rock Hotel Penang transforms into a pink oasis. Dubbed Pinktober, the month-long philanthropic initiative created by Hard Rock International serves as an awareness campaign for breast cancer, encouraging guests and visitors to donate generously towards the cause. For this third instalment of Pinktober at the Hard Rock Hotel Penang (13th year for Hard Rock International), the team has lined up a series of fun and playful quirks for its fans. These include a cocktail party at the hotel’s Hall of Fame on 6th October featuring USA girl band Nylon Pink (AUD17 entry per person), a sassy lingerie party, pink lighting, pink uniforms, a fluffy pink bed in the lobby, limited-edition pink merchandise, art-badges, pink cocktails and much more. General Manager John Primmer says Pinktober never fails to attract interest from both the locals and guests as everyone is guaranteed a good time. “Having the hotel themed pink is always fun for our team and guests. It’s just such a blast for everybody involved, but most of all, everyone is on the same page about doing something to enable ongoing cancer research,” says Primmer. “The uplifting atmosphere we create each year is a major attraction for families young and old as well as groups of friends. Be they guests or day visitors, they would always join in the ‘party for the cure’.” This year, all proceeds will go towards the Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital, a not-for-profit cancer hospital in Penang. |
