From teepees in hippie communes to island-hopping yacht journeys, G Adventures expects their new tours of Australia and New Zealand will take travellers off the well-worn tourist paths Down Under. The adventure tour operator saw an opportunity in a “saturated” market to create “truly unique and different experiences”, G Adventures operations consultant Neil Geddes said. “The market was previously saturated with programs that follow the same routes and visit the same sites,” he said, pointing out that while travellers will definitely see the must-sees, they will also be immersed “in the rare and exciting cultures and regions of Australia and New Zealand”. The introduction of the Australia and New Zealand tours reportedly comes on the back of “partner and traveller demand” and will see G Adventures run tours across all continents. The tours, which will follow four routes (Australia: Sydney to Cairns, Melbourne to Darwin; New Zealand: North Island and South Island), will be able to be customised, travellers having the option to take all or part of a route. |
