Tas Webber

Tourism Fraser Coast today announced the appointment of experienced tourism and marketing professional Tas Webber to the position of Membership and Marketing Coordinator.

A public relations and business graduate from the University of Southern Queensland, Tas will be responsible for attracting new members and assisting with all aspects of marketing and developing the destination on behalf of the local tourism industry, businesses, communities and local government.

He brings outstanding management, sales and communication experience to the role, having worked for Central Queensland University as a marketing officer as well as a lecturer in marketing strategy and a school liaison/ marketing support officer for the University of Southern Queensland.

Passionate about local tourism, Tas has been based in the Fraser Coast region for the past seven years where he has worked for award-winning youth hostel Colonial Village YHA in a variety of roles including activities and night manager, supervisor and tour and accommodation sales.

Tourism Fraser Coast General Manager Pip Close said Tas brought tremendous strengths to the organisation.

“With an energetic personality, new ideas, a fresh approach and innovative concepts, backed by a strong marketing and business background,  Tas will be a great asset for the organisation and its members,’’ Ms Close said.
