P&O Cruises is now offering another great Australian experience on its ships – the chance to relax and enjoy a bucket of prawns by the pool. Aptly introduced during the recent Melbourne Cup cruises, the buckets of prawns are available at the poolside Grill. Sture Myrmell, Vice President Hotel Operations for Carnival Australia, which operates P&O Cruises said the ‘peel and eat’ prawns were the perfect accompaniment to long, lazy summer days at sea. “On a relaxing cruise escape there are few things better than lounging by the pool with some great Australian seafood, enjoying the sunshine,” he said. Mr Myrmell said the locally-sourced seafood, complemented by fresh lemon, was another example of the cruise line’s commitment to quality Australian cuisine on its ships. Also available are buckets of chicken wings with dipping sauce. The buckets of prawns or chicken wings can be purchased individually or with a beer or wine accompaniment. |
