Adventure tourism operator Aquavue Cafe Watersports has revved up the excitement for adrenaline junkies, introducing a thrilling new jet boat experience to the Fraser Coast. The award-wining Hervey Bay business announced today the official launch of the Fraser Jet, further enhancing the Fraser Coast’s reputation as a premier adventure destination. Fraser Jet will offer half hour thrill rides for up to 10 people at a time, exploring the pristine waters along the Hervey Bay coastline, as well as islands and marine life of the Great Sandy Straits. Longer tours are also available. Larry Burch, owner of Aquavue Café Watersports and strong advocate for adventure tourism in the region, said the state-of-the-art Fraser Jet was capable of speeds of 45 knots. “We are delighted to bring this unique new adventure experience to the Fraser Coast combining thrills and natural beauty that will take people’s breath away,’’ Mr Burch said. Fraser Jet also offers three-hour trips to Big Woody Island situated off Hervey Bay where passengers can visit the stunning historic lighthouse and enjoy commanding views of the Great Sandy Strait and World Heritage Listed Fraser Island. Once the island has been explored, there is the opportunity to enjoy snorkelling around the island where an abundance of marine life such as graceful turtles and shy dugongs can be encountered. The Fraser Jet is the latest addition to Aquavue Café Watersports’ popular range of adventure activities and services including kayaking tours, bicycle hire, boat and jet ski licensing, jet ski hire and jet ski tours to Fraser Island. It also offers breakfast, lunch and fantastic coffee right on the beach. Aquavue Café Watersports is located on Scarness Beach along the Esplanade in Hervey Bay, just three and a half hours drive north of Brisbane. |
