The annual PAICE tradeshow in Auckland resulted in some strong group booking leads for Club Med.

The one-day show presented the perfect opportunity for the team from Club Med's newly formed Sydney based Groups and Incentive Department to introduce themselves to the New Zealand market.  The new division is responsible for both the Australian and New Zealand markets offering a dedicated account manager for group bookings.

Club Med Groups & Incentives Manager, Club Med Australia & New Zealand, Brendon King says, "We had a fantastic day meeting the local New Zealand buyers and learning a lot more about the groups and incentives business here in New Zealand.

"Everyone has been enthused to learn more about how Club Med can service the MICE business with the unique upscale all-inclusive packages that are available.  Specific interest has been in the Asia resorts Bali, Phuket and Cherating Beach, and there has been a lot of excitement about Guilin, the second resort to open in China in May 2013."

Club Med New Zealand Sales and Marketing Manager, Kaarin Gaukrodger says, "Club Med New Zealand has 8 groups confirmed for 2013 and a number of very strong leads from PAICE which reinforces the need to have a stronger groups support for New Zealand through the Sydney based team.

"It was a highly successful show for Club Med and a strong indicator to the New Zealand MICE market about Club Med's commitment to offer groups an innovative and cost-effective conference setting, with plenty of destinations around the world to chose from."

Kaarin adds that in particular Club Med's new China resort in Guilin, due to open next year, is creating a lot of interest.
