Thursday, 6 December 2012

Australia is set to open its first InterContinental resort, rebranding the Hyatt Regency Sanctuary Cove, on the Gold Coast into the IHG brand.

Under a new management agreement with the hotel’s owner, Mulpha Sanctuary Cove the resort will adopt the title, InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort and the “superior international standards” of the InterContinental brand.

According to Mulpha head of hotel investments Lloyd Donaldson, the agreement will also include co-operative and strategic marketing and promotional activities.

InterContinental Sanctuary Cove is the second Mulpha property to be managed by the IHG, following the acquisition of InterContinental Sydney in 2004.
