Alaska Airlines advises the travel industry that it will drop base commissions paid on tickets for point of sale in Australia from 3% to 1%, effective 01 January 2013.

All bookings sold and ticketed on or after 01 January 2013 will be affected by the commission change.  Any existing bookings must be issued prior to this date to claim existing commission.

No exceptions will be permitted and ADMs will be raised if incorrect commission is claimed on or after 01 January 2013.
