SureSave will take full control of the issue and management of its travel insurance, effective 1 November 2009. As a result of these changes, SureSave will manage all pre-existing medical underwriting and through its in-house underwriting agency, manage all claims. SureSave travel insurance will be underwritten at Lloyd’s (A+ rated by Standard & Poor’s with leading global assistance provider, Speciality Assist, providing 24-hour emergency services. Mr Malcolm Collier, General Manager of SureSave, said: “These changes represent a major enhancement to our service offering. “We will be able to offer our agents and their customers a seamless service from managing applications for pre-existing condition cover to dealing with claims.” He added: “Agents will no longer need to deal with a third party - SureSave together with its in-house underwriting agency will provide complete services to its travel agents.” “Just as importantly, our agents will be backed by Lloyd’s, a leading pillar of the insurance industry.” After SureSave takes control of the issue and management of its travel insurance it will cease selling Mondial Assistance insurance policies from 31 October 2009. |
