Once again rumours have surfaced that the Walt Disney Company is considering adding a theme park to Queensland, Australia.

The State Development Department has been secretly conducting an assessment of potential sites that could be home to a Disney theme park/ resort. Sources from neither the Disney Company nor the Australian State Government would confirm or deny this is taking place.

This is not the first time that rumours have surfaced that Disney was planning to build a theme park in Australia. In 1997, The Disney Company held talks with the government of Borbidge over a possible theme park at Bribie Island base.
