Taking the hassle out of foreign exchange in Bali

FaresProBank Commonwealth, the majority-owned banking subsidiary of Australia’s Commonwealth Bank is now offering foreign exchange in their new ‘FX Shops’ in the tourist areas of Kuta and Legian and Denpasar Airport.

It has been confirmed that account holders of any Australian bank can now use banking services; including exchanging money or withdrawing rupiah direct from an ATM. Commonwealth Bank customer will be pleased to know that they will be exposed to reduced international ATM fees.

Further FX shops are scheduled to open in coming months, including one at Ngurah Rai Airport in Denpasar.

Commonwealth Bank account holders will also be able to access free internet and telephone banking services. Visitors to FX Shops will also be able to access a direct link to the Bank’s website and Netbank, and use the free phone service to talk to the customer service centre directly in Australia.
