Worldhotels affiliate, One World Hotel Petaling Jaya, Malaysia has been voted the world’s Best International Convention Hotel, scooping up top honours in the prestigious International Hotel Awards 2012 in London. Having qualified for the finals by being voted Best Convention Hotel in Malaysia and the Asia Pacific, One World Hotel Petaling Jaya went on to win the grand global finals against top convention hotels in Europe, Africa, the Americas and Arabia.

The accolade was applauded by Worldhotels Executive Vice President Asia Pacific Roland Jegge as a “remarkable, historic achievement” not only for One World Hotel Petaling Jaya, but also for Worldhotels and the entire hotel industry in Asia. “It recognises that our region has reached the pinnacle of global hospitality,” he said.

One World’s General Manager Mr Ho Hoy Sum said: “Our team is truly excited and honoured to receive this prestigious award. “It is an affirmation of our position as the leading convention hotel in both Malaysia, and the world.” He attributed winning the glittering international prize as an acknowledgement of “our unwavering commitment to world-class facilities and unsurpassed service standards”.
