“The Emirates marquee promises to bring everything that is India to life in the very heart of Flemington Racecourse.

“We look forward to welcoming our guests and taking the on a lively journey through this amazing destination, as they enjoy the thrill and excitement of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.”

The Emirates’ marquee will offer guests a variety of delectable dishes, which will use typical Indian ingredients including turmeric, ginger powder, asafoetida, coriander, cumin seeds, red chilly powder and garam masala.

Emirates’ marquee designers are using their travels through exotic Indian locations including Delhi, Udaipur and Jodhpur, to help influence the décor of the most opulent trackside setting at the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

When guests step through the striking carved entrance of the marquee this year they can expect to see brilliant coloured saris, textured turbans, rustic swing seats and ancient artwork of Maharajas.

The entertainment on offer in the marquee will vary from the traditional to bhangra to the Bollywood themes made world famous by the smash hit Indian film Slumdog Millionaire.
