Exotic New Experiences in Globus Europe 2013 Brochure

Thursday, 20 September 2012

Globus has unveiled more than 70 tantalising holidays across Europe in its new 2013 brochure, including 10 new tours that explore the furthest reaches of the continent - from the Arctic Circle to the exotic east.

Among the latest additions to the Globus program are tours in Russia, Iceland, Poland, Scandinavia and Bohemia.  Travellers can sample la dolce vita in Tuscany and Umbria, travel through empires past from Austria to Turkey, or traverse the Arctic to the furthest reaches of Norway.

Globus has also introduced new Local Favourites – hidden gems and behind-the-scenes activities that provide an added insight into the local culture or history.  The brochure’s Local Favourites logo highlights tours with unique experiences like seal watching in Iceland, belly dancing in Istanbul, beer tasting at the famous Hofbrauhaus in Munich or an overnight stay in a French chateau.

Other new initiatives include free wi-fi services on 75 per cent of coaches in the modern Globus fleet.  First introduced by Globus in North America, the free on-board wi-fi is now available in most countries in Europe.

New tours for 2013 include:

  • Warsaw, the Baltics and St Petersburg – an 11-day journey through some of the most fascinating countries of the former eastern bloc, visiting Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia before concluding in St Petersburg.  This tour is also available with optional extensions to Moscow and the Ukraine.
  • Gems of Umbria & Tuscany – a nine-day focus on the most renowned regions of Italy, starting in Rome before visiting romantic cities like San Gimignano, Perugia and Siena, as well as medieval hilltop towns like Assisi, Orvieto and Spoleto. .
  • From Vienna to Istanbul -  a 15-day odyssey travelling from the seat of the Austro-Hungarian empire into the spectacular scenery of the Adriatic nations including Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro, before crossing Bulgaria towards Istanbul.  This tour is also available with an extension cruise among the Greek islands to Athens.

*Prices subject to availability and conditions. Airfares subject to seasonal variations, for bookings by December 27, 2012.
