Peregrine has launched their Europe 2013 program with seven new tours, comprising both walking and cultural touring. The new program now boasts more than 60 itineraries across Western and Eastern Europe including 17 self guided tours. New bookings made before October 31, 2012 will receive an early bird discount of between 10 and 20 percent off all tours in the program for travel in 2013.

Europe has not been a traditional market for Peregrine and according to Peregrine Managing Director Glenyce Johnson, “over the past 5 years our Europe bookings have more than doubled.”  Johnson said “as we are about to celebrate our 35th anniversary it is fantastic to see what we are now offering in Europe. Our style of small group touring really lets clients go beyond the bus window and to get beneath the skin of the places they are visiting.”

Italy is the most popular Europe destination for Peregrine and new for 2013 is an 8 day guided walking tour Jewels of the Bay of Naples.  The tour starts and finishes in Naples and offers the opportunity to spend an idyllic week on the islands of Procida, Capri and Ischia. Each day there are moderate walks to discover the villages and the many Roman and Greek historical sites of these picture perfect islands. There’s also time to swim in secluded bays and dine on terraces overlooking the spectacular azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

Jewels of the Bay of Naples is priced from $2,690 per person twin share. It includes the services of a highly experienced local tour leader, 7 night’s comfortable hotel accommodation, all transport, 7 breakfasts, one lunch and 4 dinners. There are 7 departures between April and October 2013 excluding July.

With the continuing strength of the Aussie dollar, Spain continues to emerge as a must visit destination for many Australian travellers.  According to the Spanish Tourism Board visitors to Spain from Australia have grown 20% year on year since 2010.  To meet traveller demand, new for 2013 is the 10 day cultural touring trip Treasures of Spain. From the artistic legacies of Gaudi and Picasso in Barcelona to the magic of Granada’s Alhambra Palace, this is a wonderful journey through Spain’s history, food and culture. Each day brings a new experience with free time to make your own excursions.

Starting in Barcelona and weaving southwards through Valencia, Granada and Cordoba the Treasures of Spain tour finishes in Seville. The tour is priced from $5,090 per person twin share and includes the services of a highly experienced local tour leader, 9 night’s comfortable hotel accommodation, all transport, 9 breakfasts, one lunch and 2 dinners. There are 7 departures between May and October 2013.
