Travel Indochina has released its signature Small Group Journey brochure, and is offering agents a 15% commission on all 2013 tours booked and deposited in October to celebrate its publication.

The 136 page brochure sees price reductions for many of Travel Indochina’s most popular Small Group Journeys across all destinations, except Burma and Japan, bringing many tours in line with 2005-2006 prices. Some of the biggest price reductions for 2013 are in India, where many tours are more than 10% lower than in 2012.

The range also includes a new 14 day China Culinary Discovery tour exploring one of the world’s greatest cuisines, which is included in the additional brochure pages profiling the Specialist Collection. Newer destinations in the range which are focused around events and Festivals, such as Sri Lanka and three tours to Bhutan, have also been given more prominence within the brochure.

Due to unprecedented demand, Travel Indochina has increased the number of Small Group Journeys to Burma, with 60% more departures for the 9 day Highlights of Burma tour and doubling the number of departures for 13 day Burma Revealed.

Travel Indochina managing director, Paul Hole, said the brochure’s highlights were in keeping with a strong focus for Travel Indochina – specialty or niche products.

“Our Specialist Journeys, including culinary, cycling and family tours, and exploratory tours to newer destinations are proving popular, so we have dedicated more space in the brochure to help agents sell these,” he said.

“As lead times are shortening for bookings, we’ve also been offering more guaranteed departures to provide agents more certainty that our tours will go ahead. In fact, for 39 of Travel Indochina’s itineraries, every departure is guaranteed, and selected departure dates are guaranteed for other itineraries, so passengers can book with confidence that their planned tour will go ahead.

“With over 1000 departure dates for more than 70 itineraries across 11 countries available in 2013, there’s a convenient departure date for everyone to virtually every destination, and with more Deluxe version journeys than ever before, there’s the appropriate level of comfort available for all passengers.
“In terms of support for our travel agent partners, we’re partnering with the networks to provide webinar training to assist agents successfully sell the SGJ concept and product, to mutual benefit.”

A number of Travel Indochina’s Small Group Journeys are carbon offset: Highlights of Vietnam, Vietnam Discovery, Highlights of Laos, Taste of Thailand, Yangtze & Beyond, Highlights of Rajasthan, Secrets of Japan and Burma Revealed among these. More than $9,000 in carbon credit offsets have been paid to support a wind farm project in China and a hydro power project in Vietnam in the 2012 year-to-date.
