  Mandy Scotney

TravelManagers Mandy Scotney has been promoted to a new role, Executive General Manager Commercial for House of Travel Australia. Chief Executive Officer, Joe Araullo, backs Scotney, attributing TravelManagers success to her involvement in the team.

“She’s been with us in the role of Executive General Manager for Travel Managers since 2007 and her commitment has been significant. Her strategic understanding of the travel industry and her unique ability to then be able to drill down to exactly what clients are looking for from their personal travel manager, has been invaluable.”

Scotney says she is ready for the step up.

“The role is much larger and will have a corporate travel focus which I’m looking forward to.”

Scotney says it was always her aim to stay with the company.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed working with TravelManagers and I’m rapt this opportunity has been developed, as it allows me to continue to grow in my career but stay connected with the company I love. Career succession and retention of staff is something they do well.”

Scotney says Michael Gazal is a great example of this, originally starting with the company as Business Partnership Manager NSW and then moving to National Business Partnership Manager before now being promoted to General Manager TravelManagers.

“I couldn’t think of anyone better to take over my role. Michael has great knowledge of TravelManagers through his various roles and he’s incredibly capable, he will add huge value in this role.”

Gazal says he excited about his new role.

“I’ve never looked back since I joined TravelManagers, the professional development opportunities and the ability to continue to grow and be promoted is a credit to the type of organisation they are. There is a real focus on the advancement of people and they are genuinely interested in my personal growth as well as that of the company.”

Both Scotney and Gazal are in the process of commencing their new roles.
