	Learning that Samoa has more to offer than just relaxing on a beach were the personal travel managers from TravelManagers. TravelManagers exclusive educational opportunities continue with six personal travel managers recently returning from Samoa.  TravelManagers National Partnership Office representative on the famil, Jose Canas – Head Ticketing and Fares, says there is a commitment to ensure an ongoing programme.

“Our relationships across the industry are significant and TravelManagers is committed to ensuring its personal travel managers are as up-to-date as possible when it comes to its knowledge of various destinations. There’s no doubt there’s no better way than exclusively with the experts.”

This is the third exclusive familisation trip TravelManagers have been involved with this year with a total of 13 dedicated educationals since TravelManagers began them in October 2009. The Samoa Tourist Authority hosted TravelManagers with Jade Toomalatai, their Marketing and Promotions Officer, who is based in Samoa, looking after the group during their stay in Samoa.

“She looked after us incredibly well and showed us true Samoan hospitality. It was a very well structured and supported educational, allowing us to experience a number of the islands’ tour operators and see the different parts of the island and of course the range of accommodation.”

The six personal travel managers that attended were:

• John Lengacher – representative for Windsor Victoria
• Kylie Stokes – representative for Cairns Queensland
• Michelle Levins – representative for Forest Hill Victoria
• Renee Millard – representative for Kyneton Victoria
• Tracy Cosgriff – representative for Palm Cove Queensland 

Lengacher says being a personal travel manager with TravelManagers has opened up all sorts of doors for him.

“It’s obvious that TravelManagers is so well thought of as a company, we’re very well looked after by various suppliers and tourism authorities. The Samoa Tourist Authority and the suppliers involved in this educational couldn’t do enough for us, it was incredible.”

Cosgriff says she was very impressed with Samoa and the activities on offer.

“Most people think relaxing and water-sports when they think about the Pacific, but Samoa has so much more to offer. The Robert Louis Stevenson Museum was incredibly interesting and attending a church service is something I would definitely recommend to all clients visiting, the singing was beautiful. I can’t wait to start talking to my clients about Samoa.”
