Having escaped the brunt of Tropical Cyclone Evan and with a clean-up of downed foliage well underway, Plantation Island Resort management has advised the popular resort will be returned to a ‘full business as usual’ mode as swiftly as possible. The resort will today welcome some 200 guests, including a wedding party, arriving on the Malolo Cat sea transfer from Port of Denarau Marina which recommenced services from 10.30 am this morning. Originally planned for today, the wedding ceremony has been postponed until tomorrow allowing the resort staff to finalise clean-up operations started on Wednesday. The management of Plantation Island Resort’s sister property, the neighbouring Lomani Island Resort, advised the resort has escaped any structural damage and is now fully operational while in Nadi, the Raffles Gateway Hotel is also fully operational. |
