GTA launches HELLFIRE & HILLTRIBES TREK, throughout picturesque Northern Thailand

Thursday, 20 December 2012

Getaway Trekking & Adventures [GTA] is excited to announce the launch of their latest trekking adventure – the much anticipated HELLFIRE & HILLTRIBES TREK, throughout picturesque Northern Thailand.

A  premier trek on GTA’s calendar for 2013, the HELLFIRE & HILLTRIBES TREK takes adventurers from beautiful Chiang Mai to Bangkok via various hill tribes, staying in bamboo huts, while experiencing a cruise along the majestic Kwai River, elephant rides, travelling by ox-cart, kayaking, rafting and cycling around local markets and other cultural sites.

Adding an emotionally charged historical element, this trek also takes in the Hell Fire Pass and infamous Thai Burma railway in Kanchanaburi, the site of extensive WW2 atrocities towards Australian and allied POWs.

GTA’s Managing Director Sue Fitcher, feels privileged in providing the opportunity for the Australian trekking community to participate in such a unique trekking experience.

“I believe this particular trek will resonate deeply with our trekking community given it provides an insight into our Australian WW2 history, whilst offering our trekkers the opportunity to experience a wealth of unique Thai culture.” Sue said.

GTA’s HELLFIRE & HILLTRIBES TREK, throughout Northern Thailand, runs for 13 nights/14 days from March 6 -19,  2013 at a cost of $2693- twin share.

Those who book and deposit before 31 December 2012 will also receive a Christmas Gift Pack including FREE TRAVEL INSURANCE, LEATHER TRAVEL WALLET, TRAINING POLO SHIRT & CAP [valued at over $200], ensuring they’ll be more than prepared to tackle the ruggedness of the Northern Thai terrain.
