A new accommodation ratings system has been developed in Australia

After almost four years of development, the Australian Accommodation Diamond Rating System (AADRS) has been released.

The latest national accommodation rating system, the AADRS aims to provide an honest and justified assessment for accommodation providers using the diamond symbol as a standard for rated accommodation.

The new system utilises consumer comments, property features, social media interaction, photography and physical assessment to determine a property rating.

“Our aim is to ensure that accommodation providers have access to a system of review that rates on all aspects of that property,” AADRS director Lindon Thompson said.

“Not only are we there to rate and assess for the general public, we are passionate about our goal to aid property owners.”

AADRS plan to build upon the system by creating an array of different tools that accommodation providers can use to integrate information on the internet.

“We are in contact with industry leaders to help us better develop our product to ensure longevity within the ever shifting marketplace, and create a quality brand trusted by consumers and industry partners,” Mr Thompson said.
