Brigitte Barrand was appointed General Manager for media relations for the Air France-KLM group, reporting to the group’s Chairman and CEO, Jean-Cyril Spinetta and his advisor François Brousse. Aged 54, a graduate of Paris Sorbonne University, Brigitte Barrand has spent her entire career in the communication business. Brigitte Barrand began her career in publishing, at Flammarion, Encyclopaedia Universalis, First, as a press officer. From 1990 to 1997 she was in charge of the Press office at Londez Conseil, before joining CDC Asset Management, a subsidiary of the “Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations” as external communications manager. In 1999, she joined the Caisse Nationale du Crédit Agricole (CNCA) as General Manager for the group’s press office and its subsidiaries (Indosuez, Crédit Agricole Asset Management). In 2000, she joined Air France as second in command alongside the General Manager Corporate Communications.She has been in charge of financial and social media relations for Air France, has been involved in all stages of the merger between Air France and KLM, and also took charge of Air France-KLM’s economic and financial communication before the creation of the holding company. |
