A new hotel and flight booking engine has been launched to assist agents provide customers with optimal prices. Unveiled in Australia and New Zealand earlier this week, the web-based SimpleDistribution was designed to improve hotel management of bookings as well as allow hoteliers to research competitor’s rates and offer guests competitive prices. The new online company’s division president Keith Povah said SimpleDistribution is the only online channel that maintains all facets of travel from ancillaries to tour operators and hotel websites. “Connecting to all those channels in single one product supports the optimal overview and control of online booking demands,” Mr Povah said. “Increased rates of online bookings have created active consumers and smart travel buyers encouraging the hospitality industry to respond with a greater and a more intelligent online presence. “Australia and New Zealand’s constantly maturing hospitality market will allow SimpleDistribution to further promote revenue opportunities available through online channel management technologies.” According to the company, it has up to 700 third party sales channels, the largest network available and supports niche and specialist online travel agencies. Selling the new distribution channel, Hotel Representation Australia managing director Craig Davies added that the new product would allow hotelier to up their game with competitors. “Technology savvy revenue managers have taken opportunities to better manage price and their sales channels, now all hoteliers can access a wider market,” Mr Davies said. “We’ve also seen considerable occupancy and revenue gains achieved by hoteliers when managing multiple channels through a single system.” SimpleDistribution is owned by global software house eRevMax and will be sold through local business, Hotel Representation Australia. |
